Jennifer Lewis - Lettering for Jesus

My Story

My heart is for you. I want to see you be encouraged, grow in faith, and bring joy to others in the process.

I have loved pencils, pens, paper, and all sorts of crafts for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I would scribble in my notebooks and bring it to my parents with a big smile on my face saying, “Mommy! Daddy! Look what I wrote!” They would grin back and ask me to read it to them.

Some of my favorite memories include my grandpa who would ask to see the notebook. Then, in a serious voice, he would say something like, “Papa is the best, smartest, most handsome grandpa in the whole wide world… Wow! Thank you!” Meanwhile, I would interrupt him saying, “Hey!! That’s not what I wrote!” Thinking that accuracy was more important than kind words to my adorable family members.

I’m sharing this because I think it’s a good peek into my life. But, it’s nothing without the real motivation behind this business– Jesus.

Once I got to college, I would find myself taking notes in as beautiful a way as possible. I would shade in letters, doodle vines in the margins, and change “fonts” frequently. Then, I saw one of my good friends’ Instagram posts where she had some gorgeous lettering. I reached out to see what type of pens she recommended. That same day, she responded with such enthusiasm that we should get together so she could teach me about her favorite tools, how to do lettering, and what it means to be an artist. From that point forward, I have been immensely blessed by not only her friendship but the support of countless others. (Including you!)

All of this is to say, God is good, and I greatly appreciate your impact on my life and the lives of others. Thank you for being you. I hope this site and my products can encourage you in a big way through the grace of Jesus.
